VetCor of Central Texas Opens

AUSTIN, Texas – VetCor of Central Texas is a company with a cause and a company on a mission.  The veteran-owned and operated emergency restoration services company opened its doors today in Austin, Texas, with a ribbon-cutting by the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and passing of the guidon, a traditional military passing of the colors from command to command.  The new business is owned and operated by U.S. Army veteran and West Point graduate Don Bice, and his partner Jennifer Ransom.  With a strong focus on recruiting, hiring, and training veterans, VetCor of Central Texas is one of only 9 VetCor franchises in the nation, and only the 2^nd in Texas.  The Florida based company was founded by a fellow West Point graduate, on the customs, values and norms of the United States Military.

“VetCor’s culture of excellence and service to others is one we both embrace personally,” Bice said.  “My work as an emergency management specialist with the Texas State Guard, and as a disaster response volunteer with FEMA and UMCOR fostered my passion to be a part of a team helping others and working toward something bigger than self.  We look forward to growing that culture here at home in Central Texas.”

The company provides water removal, water damage mitigation, mold remediation, fire and smoke damage mitigation, emergency board-up and roof tarping, bio, trauma, and crime scene cleanup, tree removal, debris removal, deep cleaning, and disinfectant. – 

Bice is a 1992 graduate of the United States Military Academy with a B.S. in Systems Engineering and an MBA from Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business. He served his country as a

Signal Corps officer in the U.S. Army until 1997. Following his military career, he served a variety of positions within Fortune 500 companies, as well as working in private wealth management, and most recently as a Major in the Texas State Guard supporting COVID-19 operations and logistics. Ransom is the “Army brat” daughter of a retired U.S. Army Lt. Col., and sister to a U.S. Army Command Sgt. Major.
